I, Kim Eleazar, CMT, offer a calming space for Swedish massage. My massages provide a chance for a better quality of life, a sense of body awareness, and a time and space for the body to be away from the computer or phone screen. The human body can have a hard time adapting to the constant changes of technology and the need for remote work due the COVID-19 pandemic. Computer usage is now the norm in many households and the most basic accessories (keyboard, mouse, chair, desk, etc.) are not ergonomically friendly unless a large amount of money is spent. With these inadequate equipment and changes, over time pain, discomfort, and stress arises. Kyphosis, or the outward curvature of the spine that results in a hunchback, can be a result of hours of screen time, whether on a computer or a phone. The experience I had from massaging and working in a physical therapy clinic is body work and exercise for certain areas can be beneficial in preventing kyphosis and other related injuries and disorders. As the prevalence of computer usage increases in our society, the need to educate about self-care and time away from the screen increases.

I perform 90- and 120- minute full body Swedish massages with relaxation as the main goal. We can always talk about your goals and expectations for your session before your appointment, either by phone (text preferred) or the day of your appointment when you arrive. 60- minute massages are reserved for partial body work which means a full body massage should not be expected. An example would be working on just your upper body (head, neck, arms, back) and excluding the lower body (legs and feet). We can always adjust focus during the intake process.

I have calculated my prices to reflect the important belief of having a livable wage. I will not be asking for additional monetary tips for massage sessions. Instead, please consider leaving a review on Google, taking my business cards to pass out to others, and rebooking a massage if you find us to be a good fit. Cash is preferred, though I also take any forms of payment accepted by Square (Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards, etc).

I choose to wear a Flomask or 3M Aura N95 Respirator before, during, and after all massage services. A HEPA air purifier is in both the massage room and waiting room. I also have an Aranet 4 CO2 monitor in the room to measure CO2 levels and temperature. If you are fine with the sound of traffic, the window can also be propped open to keep fresh air flowing through the room. There is a table heater and blanket on the massage table, so no worries about getting chilly.
